A respectfully planned and completed addition to a private residence in Vienna combined the best of old with a contemporary twist.The new living space twists and intertwines with the existing building, a light flushed staircase illuminates a winding pathway leading the visitor along a passage stringing together private new living areas. The cantilevered upper floor provides shade and shelter for a secluded terrace in the garden. Old and new come together in the entrance area providing access to both new wing and the existing house.
