The house on the hill project, in Wilhelmsburg, is the fulfilment of many wishes. The views and landscape provide the back drop for this private house project. Light illuminates the main living areas through large, over-sized windows to the north and the south. Breathtaking views along the valley and in the opposite direction towards the city of St. Pölten are in a constant state of flux as the seasons pass.In contrast, other windows are reduced to the absolute minimum size. The main entrance is sheltered from the elements by the upper floor while the living areas are spilt between two levels. The dining area opens out to one of three large terraced areas and a self-supporting stair case leads the user to the bedroom area. The subtle use of anthracite for the exterior and crisp white for the interior continues the refined theme.
