Simplicity of design in form and colouration are the main features of this geometric summer retreat. This unique, generously proportioned summer house with large glazed openings connects the beauty of the garden with the sun terrace. The bedroom block extends further out into the garden shading the main living areas from the intensity of the midday sun. The interlocking buildings ceiling heights vary and reflect the end user’s requirements. Light and shadow reflect from the swimming pool, dancing along walls and the extending roof canopy, performing an important element of the design. The delicate use of colour and materials is a deliberate choice. Stone, glass and wood are chosen for their natural qualities while the earthly tones of beige and browns are complimented with the use of white and the blue from the water.
